Brooklyn born and bred Danielle Mastrion has painted all over the city, the US and the world. I only just realized her work was so present in Bed-Stuy and along the JMZ line, and that I've been admiring it for quite a while. Her murals and canvas style is colorful and vibrant, capturing iconic faces of our modern culture (from Frida and Madiba to Biggie and the Beastie Boys), or subtly depicting little boroughs skits, with a twist.
